There are still plans to bring Downtown Yogurt to Johnstown, but it likely still will not be for a while after they had to change plans, now working on several other properties in the area. A first taste for the frozen yogurt and ice cream shop was held in July 2022 with expectations that the store would open shortly after. There are two parts to the company according to Johnstown Capital Partners.

Gunfight sparked by argument in Savannah injures 11 as city faces a violent weekend

(TND) — Rutgers University struck an agreement Thursday with pro-Palestine protesters running an encampment on its campus which includes a pledge to discuss divesting funds from Israel. University President Jonathan Holloway will meet with students to review the Endowment Justice Collective coalition’s request to pull investments. Demonstrators at Rutgers’ New Brunswick campus in an encampment formed this week demanded the university divest. This resolution was achieved through constructive dialogue between the protesting students and our leadership teams,” university Chancellor Francine Conway said on Thursday.

Somerset County man freed after Turks and Caicos ammo case sentencing

The Somerset County man held on a Caribbean island after facing charges for having ammunition in his luggage was sentenced Friday. Bryan Hagerich of Somerset faced up to 12 years in prison under Turks and Caicos gun laws. He had been held there since February after he was caught with hunting ammunition in his luggage that he says he forgot was there. Friday, a judge announced a 52-month suspended sentence for Hagerich along with his release.

'He was a good man:' Family of Cambria County murder victim speaks out

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Police say Richard Morgan was shot and killed by Austin Kline in south fork last week. Morgan’s body was discovered Friday night after his family reported him missing. Kline now faces charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse. His family and neighbors say Morgan was a kind man and can’t understand the reason this happened to him. Police say he was meeting with Kline to do landscaping work when he was killed.

Johnstown Save-A-Lot closed for rodent infestation

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — The Save-A-Lot store located in the West End neighborhood of Johnstown is closed due to a rodent infestation. According to a report from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, the grocery store, which is located along Sheridan Street, was closed Thursday after inspectors found multiple violations. Officials say the violations included the discovery of several rodent droppings throughout the store, as well as several bags of trail mix and chips that had been chewed through.
