RICHLAND TOWNSHIP - Losing your hair because of medical treatments can be traumatic, but a salon in Richland Township is helping people by pairing them with natural wigs. Niccola’s Hair Salon started the program in January and has helped about 30 people since they started. One of her clients is Connie Simmons. She recently started chemotherapy to help battle her cancer. “My first thought was my family; my second thought was I'm going to lose my hair,” said Simmons.

China to draw 'separation line' on peak of Mount Everest

BEIJING (AP) — China will draw a "separation line" atop Mount Everest to prevent the coronavirus from being spread by climbers ascending Nepal's side of the mountain, Chinese state media reported Monday. A team of Tibetan mountaineering guides will set up the separation line at the peak before climbers attempt to reach the summit from the Chinese side, the official Xinhua News Agency said. It was not clear what the separation line would be made of.

Death investigation underway in Benezette Township

BENEZETTE, Pa. (WJAC) — UPDATE: Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Mucciohas has ruled the death as natural. ORIGINAL STORY: State police are conducting an investigation after a man died in Benezette Township. Authorities responded to Hicks Run Road just before 11 p.m. Saturday, where 54-year-old Donald Dinger, of Smicksburg, had died. According to a release, authorities believe Dinger died sometime between 7 and 10 p.m. The cause and manner of death have not been released.

Multiple firefighters injured battling 5-alarm fire in Pittsburgh's Homestead neighborhood

Pittsburgh (WPXI) — Multiple firefighters were hurt battling a 5-alarm fire in Homestead, Pennsylvania on Saturday. Allegheny County 911 said firefighters, police and EMS were dispatched to a building just before 9:30 a.m. as heavy flames and smoke poured out of the attic. Officials say the blaze began in one residential building and spread to two others because of the extreme cold and windy conditions. Five firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries while working to put the fire out, and eight residents were displaced but not hurt.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pitching prospect Quinn Priester is to make his major league debut Monday night for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
