PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers made several key roster moves on Monday.
Along with the decision to "mutually part ways" with quarterback Mitch Trubisky, Pittsburgh also announced that offensive tackle Chuks Okorafor and punter Pressley Harvin III have been cut from the team.
Harvin was drafted in the 7th round of the 2021 draft, while Okorafor was selected in the third round in 2018.
Both players faced heavy criticism during their time on the Steelers for what some considered to be subpar performances.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TND) — Actor Angie Harmon has filed a lawsuit against grocery delivery app Instacart and one of its former drivers after her dog was fatally shot in March while items were being dropped off at her North Carolina home. Court documents obtained by People show Harmon is accusing the delivery service and the driver of "alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, negligent supervision/hiring, invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation" for the incident that happened on Easter weekend.
CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Clearfield County say an animal cruelty investigation is underway after two lambs were reportedly shot last week.
Authorities say on Thursday, May 9, troopers were contacted to investigate a report of livestock being shot and killed at a property along Verns Road, in Ferguson Township.
Troopers say the two lambs were reportedly killed sometime between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, May 8.
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The man who was fatally shot Thursday by a squeegee kid after he tried to attack a group of them was identified by police as 48-year-old Timothy Reynolds. Reynolds, who had a wife and three children, lived in the city's Hampden neighborhood. The family asked for privacy on Friday.
His mother-in-law told FOX45's Keith Daniels that "people should know he was a loving and kind family man."
ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — Sheetz announced Thursday that they will be participating in a new fundraising campaign in support of the Special Olympics. Throughout the month of October, customers will have the opportunity to donate to the nonprofit organization, either by adding donations to their purchase at the point of sale, or by dropping money into donation boxes that will be placed near the registers, according to a company release. SEATTLE (KOMO) — Lunar New Year could become a Washington state legal holiday if a new bill gets passed.
According to Substitute House Bill 1516, the day of Lunar New Year is on the "date corresponding with the second new moon following the winter solstice, or the third new moon following the winter solstice should an intercalary month intervene."
According to the House Bill Anaylsis, the Saturday before the beginning of the Lunar New Year would become the designated day for the state legal holiday.
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. (WJAC) — After its first year of operation, the White House VA hotline has answered the calls of nearly 130,000 veterans, who otherwise might be lost in a complex system.
With problems ranging from residential care and VA benefits to just having a listening ear, veterans across the country are able to call the fully staffed support center stationed in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, for aid, according to NBC.

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — The trial for suspended Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas, who is accused of sexual assault, is underway.
DAY 7 (VERDICT):After nearly three hours of deliberating, the jury has returned the verdict in the trial of suspended Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas.
Thomas has been found not guilty on the most serious charges he faced, including sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
The jury did find Thomas guilty of the other six charges he faced, which include strangulation (in conjunction with sexual violence), criminal trespass, unlawful restraint, indecent assault without consent, false imprisonment, and one count of simple assault.
DUBOIS, Pa. -- A water main break in DuBois has left several businesses without water Tuesday.
DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio said the break happened on Division Street around 4 a.m.
He said the 12-inch break is due to the age of the system.
Suplizio said GKN Sintered Metals, Cataldo's Collision, Way Office Supply, UPS, Clearfield Bank and Trust, and the Beaver Drive Industrial Park are without water. Surrounding homes are experiencing dirty water, he said.
