Altoona, PA (WJAC) — Altoona police say two teens are facing arson charges after reportedly setting fire to a wooded area near Garfield Park Tuesday afternoon. Police say crews were dispatched to the 1100 block of 25th Street after a State Parole agent witnessed the two teens start the fire and flee the scene. Investigators say the fire "spread rapidly" and burned an area the approximate size of a football field.

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County have filed over 100 counts of various felonies against a DuBois area man following an investigation into accusations that he repeatedly sexually abused a teenage girl for over a year. DuBois police say they began investigating 39-year-old Sean Lechiara in May after the girl came forward to report the abuse while she was at school. Police say the girl told officers that Lechiara had reportedly began assaulting her when she was 12 years old, and claimed that the repeated abuse lasted for approximately a year and a half.

ALTOONA – The Logan Valley Mall is about to get a new owner. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust announced in a news that, "A purchase and sale agreement has been executed with a significant non-refundable deposit and closing anticipated during the third quarter.” PREIT did not reveal the buyer or the purchase price for the mall. Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Suspended DuBois city manager Herm Suplizio appeared in court Tuesday, nearly two weeks after he was indicted by federal authorities on charges of theft and fraud. Some maple camp owners in Somerset County said today was their final day of boiling for syrup. Baer Brothers Maple Camp Co-owner Mike Lynch said, “In our area almost everyone has finished making syrup. We have maybe a quarter of the producers still at it, but if you move north here a couple hours to where it didn't get as warm those producers are really making syrup and have the ideal weather conditions.
