PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) – After nearly two years of design work, Alaska Airlines will reveal its new West Coast-inspired uniform collection for its 23,000 employees at a Fashion show in Seattle Thursday night.
Seattle couture designer Luly Yang is the brain behind the new looks.
The new uniforms will undergo a 60-day wear test by employees from Alaska, Horizon Air and Virgin America. These employees include pilots, flight attendants, customer service agents and lounge concierges.
EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A boil-water advisory has been issued for the Ebensburg area.
According to the Ebensburg Municipal Authority, a water-line break on South Center Street has caused high levels of cloudiness, known as turbidity, in the water.
Officials with the water company say they cannot confirm when the advisory will be lifted.
According to officials, turbidity by itself has no health effects, but may indicate the presence of disease-causing organisms that can cause nausea, cramps, diarrhea and headaches.
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced earlier this week that quarterback Kenny Pickett won the "Joe Greene Great Performance Award" as the team's Rookie of the Year.
The award was established in 1984 and is presented to the team's top rookie performer at the end of each season.
Pickett became just the third Steelers' QB to win the award, joining Kordell Stewart and Ben Roethlisberger.
"It's a huge honor," said Pickett.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- As Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 plunged, passenger Hollie Mackey was torn between trying to save a woman whose upper body was being sucked out of a broken window and protecting the child beside her from a similar fate.
When one of the plane's engines blew Tuesday, so did the window beside Jennifer Riordan, a bank executive from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mackey says a young girl was sitting between her and Riordan and they tried but failed to help Riordan.
