Coroner IDs man killed in coal truck crash near Windber Stadium

UPDATE |

Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of Friday morning's coal truck crash along Route 56, near Windber Stadium.

Lees says 35-year-old Justin Robine was transported to Conemaugh Hospital after crashing his tri-axle into a tree, just before 5 a.m., and being ejected from the vehicle.

Officials say he was pronounced dead in the ICU around 11 a.m. Friday.

The coroner's office has determined his cause of death as a head injury due to blunt force trauma.

Officials say his death has been ruled accidental and the coroner's office is working with state police to determine the cause of the crash.

Authorities say the crash closed Route 56, near the stadium, for several hours.
