President Trump holds rally in Latrobe
LATROBE, Pa. (WJAC) — President Donald Trump made a stop in western Pennsylvania Thursday
Hundreds of people arrived in Westmoreland County to listen to President Trump’s remarks.
He spoke about fracking in Pennsylvania and the need for law enforcement, both of which he says, Joe Biden disagrees with.
Supporters waited outside for hours rain and shine to get a chance to listen to President Trump speak at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe.
“Sixty-one days from now we are going to win the commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Trump said. “We are going to win four more years in the White House.”
Pennsylvania, famously known as a battleground state during elections, also had a visit from democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden earlier this week.
President Trump addressed his opponent saying America would not be safe.
“Biden will never be able to protect your jobs or your family and we love our law enforcement,” Trump said.
President Trump also spent a significant amount of his time discussing the need to protect jobs, especially in the fossil fuel industry, which is how several western Pennsylvanians make their living.
“When asked in a debate, if there would be any room for fossil fuels... Millions of jobs my opponent said we would make sure it’s total eliminated.”
In 2016, Pennsylvania did vote republican, and President Trump says he believes the commonwealth will do it again, come November.
